    Audrey,
My wife and I are travelling from Australia in September to ride the Rocky Mountaineer but have organised a self drive section of our trip from Jasper to Lake Louise. My wife loves photography, so I was wondering are there plenty of places along the Parkway to easily pull over and take pics. I understand that there may be sections that pulling over to the side of the road would be dangerous or difficult but on the whole is it fairly easy to stop and enjoy the vistas at will.

    Cheers

There are several pullouts and viewpoint areas to stop and enjoy scenic spots along the route. It can still be quite busy with traffic in September especially in the first half of the month. Any unoffical spots where you might want to pullover make sure you have lots of room and your not going to cause havoc behind you by slowing down. People behind you will assume in many cases you are pulling over because you have spotted wildlife, don’t be surprised if others pull over as well.

We always recommend taking in some of the hikes and walks along the route to take in the beautiful scenery as well, even if it’s just some of the short ones.
      Cheers
