Coffee Shops And Cafes In Downtown Banff

Enjoy one of the easy walks around the town of Banff and then sit back and relax with a cup of coffee or tea. In the downtown area there is a mix of independently run coffee shops and cafes as well and a few of the well known nation wide chains. Many of them offer tasty baked goods along with a small menu of food. Below are the popular spots where locals and tourists get their caffeine fix.

Whitebark Café

Serving coffee beans sources from fair-trade organic coffee that are roasted in their North Vancouver facility and premium loose tea from the Banff Tea Company. The offer a menu of pastries and light fare that changes seasonally. Specialties include a yogurt parfait with house made granola and muffins with interesting flavor combinations.

Wild Flour Artisan Bakery

A locals favourite spot serving coffees and teas. The artisan breads and baguettes are cooked in their stone hearth oven. The menu has sandwiches, daily soups, salads and fresh baked pastries. The breakfast specialty is a frittata made with free-range eggs. They have house made granola, cookies, cakes, brownies, bars and tarts. It can be quite busy, but the line usually moves quite quickly.

Little Wild Coffee

This Banff Avenue location is a small version of the popular Wild Flour Artisan Bakery. They offer coffees, teas and baked treats. If you’re looking for a drink and a treat to go this option allows you to avoid the line ups at the main bakery.

Tim Hortons

A business that has become part of the identity of Canada. It’s a typical Tim Horton’s like any other you’ll will find across the country. Like many Tim Horton’s it can be quite busy. Along with their original servings of coffee and donuts they have sandwiches, wrap, soups and a variety of breakfast options.

Evelyn’s Coffee World

A selection of coffee options and teas and a menu offering freshly made chicken, ham, tuna or vegetable sandwiches along with soups and salads of the day. They also have bagels, croissants, cookies, squares, cheesecake, fruit crisp, cold cereals, jam & toast.

Coffee, lattes and teas. Made from scratch baked good and breads. They serve breakfast and lunch too.
